Oscar Albuquerque

A former professional player in Chicago, as well as other cities around the U.S., this Peruvian is no newcomer to the world of soccer.

Albuquerque gained soccer accolades both in high school and college when he was named to All-Ontario and All-Canada teams. As a member of the Laurentian University soccer team, he was the first soccer player ever to be named Laurentian's Athlete of the Year. As a member of the Canadian Olympic Team, Albuquerque also played in the Pan American Games before his professional career in the U.S.

His 12 pro seasons included stops in Denver, Phoenix, Las Vegas, Memphis and Chicago for both the Chicago Sting and Chicago Power. He holds a USSF "B" coaching license and has served in various coaching positions, most recently as an assistant coach for the Chicago Storm. In his second season as the founder and general manager of the Rampage in 2007-08, he put the pieces in place to win an American Indoor Soccer League championship. In 2008-09, the Rampage joined the National Indoor Soccer League as the squad reached the NISL Championship against the Baltimore Blast.

Albuquerque and his family reside in Crystal Lake, Ill.
